Release of Feature-Rich New Activant Eagle Software Supports Growing Base of Users

Eagle Version 19 Includes Extensive Point-of-Sale, Purchasing and Inventory Enhancements, Additional Activant Compass Data Analytics

LAS VEGAS, NV, Nov. 3, 2009 – The Activant Eagle® for the Aftermarket business solution is gaining many new features as well as a rapidly growing network of users as this powerful and easy-to-use store operating system enters its third year in the automotive replacement parts market.

Introduced in 2006, the Activant Eagle solution is one of the industry's most popular new platforms for single- and multi-store businesses targeting increased sales, margin, efficiency and customer loyalty. The latest release of the Activant Eagle software, Version 19, offers dozens of additional features and functionality to help drive customer success and return on investment.

The Activant product development team works closely with customers to identify opportunities to expand the unique capabilities and bottom-line benefits of their Activant Eagle systems. The new software release includes an array of additional features in several key business areas: point-of-sale operations; purchasing and order points; catalog; multi-location operation; accounts receivable; inventory management; and business analytics. New features include a customizable “Formula Based Pricing” tool that helps improve users' pricing accuracy and effectiveness. The system's integrated LaserCat® 3 eCatalog now includes enhanced multi-session capabilities for increased efficiency and Activant's new Item Expert™ non-application parts database to help stores increase sales in a variety of additional categories.

Other new features are an “Enforce Vendor Minimum” option to help improve margin performance; automatic backorder processing to help increase customer service levels and reduce lost sales; generation of bar codes featuring package quantities to enhance inventory management; and the availability of expanded Activant Compass™ data for advanced business analytics.
